The client for this project clearly instructed our design team that they required a social eating space that also allowed for a residential space. Our design team however wanted to take this further and allow for an integrated social space that would in turn improve the flow and traffic of the public through the city centre of Coventry.

The project involved creating a housing establishment on a site established close to the motorway in Coventry. After primary and secondary research of the diverse population within Coventry and the food interest, it has. A focus on cultural eating was established and was used as a tool to bring people together in the atrium space where stalls are positioned, they can cook for each other and be involved within the process.

Creating a permeable open inviting social space was crucial to the success of the project which transferred in to the use of curved glass panels and a tensile fabric roof to promote fluidity that helped create bright and airy conditions for such social interactions to take place.

The rigid sections of the project such as the housing units required more privacy and subtle measures have been taken to ensure this such as the use of frosted glass, change of levels. These units involved the use of 3D printing as a structural tool which was a lot more efficient, reliable and a cheaper alternative than regular building procedure which ensured the project to be handed on time and lower than the anticipated budget.

MARKETING RESEARCH
Implications of analysis from pestel and swot with regards to different aspects of business:
Marketing management / directors (how often are you going to meet, are you as a director What do we have to show what we are achieving e.g. a checklist showing what we are doing and whether or not we are achieving it, so we have a strategy and we know what we want to achieve in 3 years so we need benchmarks to achieve that we achieve it.)
-
Marketing management will be meeting with the directors regularly in order to discus every detail and stage of the project to allow he client to have a stress-free time and make sure everything is running smoothly.
-
We must communicate and make sure the client is fully updated with every stage of the work to ensure they know what is going on with the project and if any alterations need to happen through the process.
-
you know their requirements an what they want so you can tailor for that)

These factors could affect target market as it narrows down the market and we have to be aware on the implications which would come such as the cost of the projects, the needs of individual clients…
we need to be aware of the price, clients, promotion, process, place and competitions.
-
We need to maintain visibility
-
Website
-
Social media
-
We concluded that we value sustainability and the re-using of materials close to the site and waste rubble to make sure cost are low and that we have a low carbon footprint. We aim to focus on bespoke elements, especially in the first year and when we move forward to more extensive refurbishments if the clients wish to do so. We agreed that we aspire to maintain a high reputation as a business by focusing on the following fields;
Policies
We discussed the critical policies that would apply to our business plan which we need, and which ones may help our reputation. Firstly, we need to have health and safety policies that are essential for how we carry out the process of our projects and manufacturing. Next, we need to consider environmental management strategies which are crucial to keeping up a high reputation of an eco-friendly business. Quality assurance policy that will aid in keeping our reputation high of producing quality final projects/products which meets the requirements of customers. We aim to take an approach that aims to achieve quality by organising every process to get the product right the first time
Having an excellent understanding of 3D printed services and the very best and most up to date available to use for our clients. Striving to be the best in the industry for the re-use of materials and cost-effective green manufacturing methods.

Showcases
For pavilion showcases we could allow clients to interact within our booth. Therefore, having 3D prototypes as well as freebies which are 3D Printed to give away such as keyrings and models of our projects or anything to represent what we do and who we are would be successful.
Public outreach through social media to target our audience
Exposition of 3D print fast, cheap, who we are, social media
Public notoriety and publish in magazines etc…

Looking at many firms 1/10 I looked at had a brochure to be viewed and looked at as shown above. I believe a big selling point to engage and get as many clients will be the use of leaflets and brochures which can explain the firm an what we offer all on one page and will be easy for them to print and access at any time.
-

There will be many different things that can be put on the leaflet however, we do not want too much information.
-
Theme of the leaflet will match the business cards and website keeping the same colour scheme and design to show who we are and what we offer as a firm
-
Not using too much information and tact which would not stand out to clients therefore, limit the text and add visuals
